    Running problems

    Hi everyone im looking for some help my 94 sti the car is slow to start and needs a bit of throttle to get going once its running its ok until you floor it the turbo kicks in for about two seconds but cuts out again really sharply if im gently with the throttle and feed it on everything is fine any ideas?

    Tune up?

    Throttle plate cleaning?

    Plugs? Hows the fuel pressure?

    Id check things of that nature first...

    running problems

    Thanks Jeff, il do the throttle plate and plugs this evening how would i test the feul pressure?

    Im not saying these things need to be replaced but should definetly be checked, a fuel pressure gauge could be used, generally there is a T in the fuel hardline, where you could check it at under the hood. Im not to familier with it on these cars, i say that because maybe you have a clogged fuel line, or maybe a clogged fuel filter.
