Today, while driving normally around town i felt my power steering give out while the car was running normally. I pulled over, checked my PS fluid (which was normal) and limped home. While my power steering went out i threw three dash lights: Break, Battery and Rear Diff all simultaniously. Any ideas what would cause all this to happen at the same time?
right when the PS went out there as a slight and short lived burning rubber smell. What happened?? Ideas?
If you ever go back in time, dont touch anything.

Most of the signs do point to the PS/alternator belt breaking, which I'm sure it did. However, why would the "rear diff" light come on?
