please help!?

I was driving on a highway today n I felt like my car was under powered. It was fast at the beginning but started to give out at the end. When I was in 4 gear, the gear was shaking and the engine check light came on flashing. When I was at 120 I couldent go any faster. And than when I was turning around I smelled a burning small coming into the car. What could be my problem any suggestions?

My thoughts exactly. Wtf were you doing going 120 on a public highway? Wtf were you doing pushing your car through a flashing CEL? WTF is wrong with you, why wouldn't you immediately pull over and try to diagnose the issue?
