How many miles since you last changed the spark plugs?
Did the problem come on gradually or appear all at once?

Hi All,
Recently I've noticed a knocking noise coming from the engine, on the drivers side. I had someone take a look at it, and they told me that either my spark plugs are miss firing, or I need to adjust my lifters. Has anyone experienced something similar? Is this common?
I have a 2002 WRX, no modifications, and I do all my regular oil changes and tune ups.
Thanks,
-Marek

Spark Plugs were replaced when I did my timing belt. about 2 years ago. About 30K miles.
Not sure if it was gradual.
Local mechanic at a shop told me that. It didn't make much sense to me, so I excused myself and went home.
Let me know if you need any more info.
Thanks,
