Considering an uppipe never even comes in contact with an catback, no. Downpipe may leak a bit where it connects to the catback, but thats nothing some good gaskets and bending can fix.
2005 WRB WRX "was" STAGE 2
just get a matching srs downpipe and up pipe. I just got UP and Turboback installed last week. $430 shipped for everything off ebay. I'm going to post a vid soon. It sounds very very aggressive.
