    lug nut problem

    hey guys i lost a nut that hold my rear wheel and i noticed that my thread on the bolt is all f**ed up..

    any idea how much its gonna cost me at the subaru dealer ??

    Sounds like a wheel stud and a new lug. Probably under $20 for the parts, then a few more for labor, any shop can do this, or if you want the dealer go for it, call them for a quote as they are doing the job, not us.

    dont over tighten your lug nuts... or cross thread...

    torque to approx. 65ft-lbs, and you should be good.

    cost my friend $40 or $60 at a STS shop to replace the stud on his civc last week. Imagine somewhere around that as the studs are $2-$3 a piece plus some labor. I've replaced them before on another car. Not hard to do.
    Just remember, capitalization and punctuation marks the difference between, "I just helped my uncle, Jack, off a horse." and, "i just helped my uncle jack off a horse"

    i work for a subaru dealed and we would charge 50 dollers plus part and takes about 20-30 min.
