    Recharge A/C

I have a 2002 wrx and the a/c is blowing hot air I have read it could be an expansion valve problem. And i hear a lot about people recharging the a/c...Is this just adding more freon into the system. Im a car noob so if any one could explain how i go about doing this, it would be greatly appreciated! Also how could i check if something is wrong with the expansion valve?

    -Thanks

    a/c

first check the fitting and where the rubber hose is crimped to the metal line, is any of the areas caked with durt. if so u have a leak from there. replaced the line or o-ring. to recharge ur a/c right u need to do a vac and charge on it and u should take it to a shop. let me know if that helps.
