My 2002 WRX wagon is my first 21st century car. I have always worked on my own vehicles and always had a paperback service manual for each one of them.
I am aware that such manuals are obsolete for the newer cars. I would like to find a FREE reference of some sort for this car. There arent any problems with it, but I enjoy the peace of mind knowing what I am driving, parts identification, etc.
I am also trying to decide which online service manual [or E-book] would work best for me (pictures, diagrams, etc) preferably with photos. So far I have looked into Alldata, various things on tradebit and other websites. I like alldata, but it is more for actual mechanics with todays necessary gadgets at their disposal.
This is more of a curiosity issue than anything else. I could just forget it and drive happily ever after and not know much about the car, but what fun is that?
