    Just roll down windows and make the sound through a mega phone if you're trying to show off your sweet turbo

    But seriously...
    Best choice:
    Leave stock BPV on and just remove intake silencer.

    A little more sound with out all the problems of BOV's on the wrx.

    This is a 'bad upgrade'....However, I have an injen CAI and it sounds delicious. "delicious" stated by ex girlfriend..... I like the CAI, even though it's discouraged. It will deffinately give you the "woosh" and "pshhh" sound you want.

    Silencer delete will NOT create as pronounced a sound as an intake will. I deleted my silencer long ago (as well as a cat-less uppipe and downpipe) however it wasn't until installing my new Cobb SF intake that I really heard the stock bpv working. I would go with the Cobb intake. It won't mess with your MAF and you get the cool sound.
    By the way, as stated previously, keep the stock bpv. Please.

    To the OP;

    Did you ever find a place to get the WOOOO WOOOO installed????

    also i would go with the SPT intake over the Cobb .

    Just to clear things up: the whistle tip is a joke.

    There are 3 ways to get this blow-off sound:

    1) Remove the silencer. See the link posted by wrxtreme06. This takes about 20 minutes and costs nothing. I have done this on my car.

    2) Buy an intake. You will get more noise than with #1 (as mentioned previously), but do your research as some intakes will affect the mass airflow sensor. I have also done this on my car, but I eventually removed the intake because I didn't want to risk engine damage.

    3) Get a Blow-Off Valve (BOV). This is NOT recommended for stock or mildly modified cars because it can cause engine wear/damage. I have never done this.

    If you want a good woosh sound from the turbo get an intake and a catless downpipe you'll hear the the turbo spool up really well.
