    Valve Adjustment

Just wanting to get some feedback on the whole valve adjustment job on the EJ20 motors.....has anybody done one or even recommend doing the job themselves? Any unseen areas of trouble common with doing this job? Rough estimate on time to do considering having to take the motor out? I plan on replacing the head gaskets and head studs too while I have it out.....any comments on this matter? Thanks in advance!

I have 269,000 KMs/168,000 Miles and never done anything with the valves... Don't need to, as far as I know.

It just sounds like the valves are ticking a bit more than most other EJ20 engines that I've listened to.....maybe it's just me being paranoid.....lol. I might still do the head gaskets and head bolts just in case. It probably isn't necessary but I like having the peace of mind. The more I can make "bullet proof" the better......I want the car to last long so I figure staying ahead on things will keep me going longer. Thanks for the input though.....that makes me feel better about my Ru.
