    my tranny fluid is draining right now as we speak...my question is how long should i let it drain?....also is there anyway i can speed up the process? i.e. lifting one side/tilting one side

    I let mine drain for around 30 min last time. Question: Did you heat it up first by driving? If not you may be there a while.

    Also a tip: When adding the fluid, dump in 3 qts drive it around the block very slowly then come back and check it. Wrx trannys have a way of "finding fluid" and you don't want to overfill the tranny.
