    Anyone gotten this CHECK ENGINE code before?

    code 1090. Defined as: tumble generator #1 (right hand) malfunction (stuck open)

    Probable causes: dirty tumble generator valve, failed tumble generator actuator, failed tumble generator position sensor


    Can't say I've ever heard of a tumble generator before ??

    yeah ive gotten that before when i removed my tvg's..... look where the fuel injectors plug into those are your tumblers

    noob to this skoob love it too! had an 82 1.8 DL but the wrx is a different monster!

    what's this tumble generator i keep reading about?

    Does the car run differently? If you can get access to a scan tool like a SOLUS or MODIS and check live data stream to determine incorrect voltage/signal values; to pinpont what's wrong. If not start an induction cleaner (Seafoam is great). If no change, start with replacing the cheapest part first. It seems to happen more on bugeyes. I've had to do a few at work...
