    Help!!! Fuel cut??

About 45min ago I was on a long stretch of highway with no cars in sight so I decided to have some fun and do a little WOT highway pull. I downshifted into 4th gear and floored it. Then all of the sudden my car jolted pretty hard and lost all its power. Then my CEL came on and the cruise control light is flashing. I babied it the rest of the way home. My mods are in my sig and my WRX as about 8,000 miles on it. I'd like to avoid the dealership as much as possible because I don't have the time or place to return my car back to stock and have it checked out. Some please help!!

my car does the same thing in 4th also its cus were over boosting and the ecu is cutting the fuel to save our motors kinda nice but sucks also ... I know all this cus i have been talking to Crawford Performance and a Subaru road race team . But i dont know why your car would be doing it with an access port are you tuned ?? From what i have been told is a boost controler will help but not 100% fix the problem in my case with no access port im haveing my ECU flashed and putting on a boost controler to get rid of the fuel cut problem and of corse get more power if your not tuned i would say get your car tuned and see what happens..

My guess is you are running catless and had some boost spiking because you are running an OTS map.

Totally forgot about the boost spiking issue on 2.5s. A protune should take care of it then.

I'm going to try and pull up the CEL with my AP and reflash it today. Hopefully this will get rid of the CEL. Has anyone else had this problem with a OTS map?

    Are you catless?

According to Cobb, you should use a high-flow cat

^^ yep, I'm running a full catless turbo back. I figured it would be okay as long as I'm running some kind of EM but I guess not. I reset the ECU today and the CEL and blinking cruise control light is gone. So I guess no more 4th gear pulls till I get protuned?
