ecu or air intake problems HELP

my 02 wrx is not working properly no check engine light, and after 3500RPMs it doesent speed anymore like if the engine was empty no power no boooooost nothing i'm going crazzzy plz heeeeeelp
mods only an air intake. i think is M.A.F.sensor because i changed it with my brother that has the exact seme car and it work but i just purchesed a new sensor and it didnt work so i exchanged it for another one and the same thing help i dont have the stock intake what should i do

Put the factory intake back on, and mount the MAF sensor so that the harness faces FORWARD. Make sure the O-ring is intact. Does the problem go away?

put on stock intake.
MAF installed right?
Is it in valet mode?
