I work at an STS, and whenever I get some free time I'm planning on doing a fuel system/throttle body cleaning. As long as I can coordinate with when my boss is in a good mood (yeah right, that'll happen ) I can do it for free, so it's worth a shot, whether or not it makes a big difference in engine performance. At 60k miles, I figure there might be a little bit of crap on the throttle plate worth cleaning off, because the car is starting to run a little rough at idle.
Do I have to remove the intercooler just to get to the throttle plate? It seems there's no other way to remove that 1" piece of hose between the intercooler and the TB. Is it possible to just unbolt the intercooler and nudge it up a little, without disconnecting the whole thing?
