    I got Castrol

    Ya i got Castrol Syntec 5w-30. Anybody use it around here? I just read some information comparing Castrol Vs Mobil 1 and Mobil 1 had a higher viscosity level. Whatever that means. Anybody use Royal purple?What do you guys use?

    Castrol makes a very excellent product, they don't call it liquid engineering for no reasons. It also goes on sale alot more frequently than Mobil 1, I just picked up 10 qts of it for my next 2 oil changes.

    Most any oil is sufficient protection as long as it is changed at regular intervals.

    I use either Syntec or Mobil1, whatever is cheaper on any given day...

    Viscosity: a measure of the resistance a fluid offers to relative shearing motion

    For example molasses is more Viscous then water

    excuse the engineer in me, he comes out from time to time

    The castrol to use is Syntec 0W-30, the legendary GermanCastrol.
