    I just can't get the stupid nut off

    Im having to replace my cluth hydrolic hose on my 02 WRX and the thing just won't come off, and now its striped. I know this is dumb askn a forum for help on this but when I get mad while Im working on cars I can't think.

    If it's stripped and you have to get a new one anyway, can you get a vice grip in there and crank on it? That's my favorite "get it off at all costs"' tool.

    Try heating it up first. Use a hand-held torch( like the ones for using big solder<sp?> for water pipes.) or even a bbq long lighter or beutane lighter. Heat makes everything break free a lot easier.

    After you heat it up then use the vise grips.

    there are sockets out there with reverse threading on the inside to litterally dig into the head so you can turn it.

    crap! no vicegrips I forgot I loaned them to our neighbor and he forgot to return them before he up and moved. cresent wrench just isn't cuting it guess ima haveta go tool shoping haha

    TR is on your side. Anyway, I have the reverse-digging sockets, they're available at Sears and they do work. Also try getting a good set of vise grip pliers and getting them murder tight before trying to break the thing loose. Heat really does help, as does liquied wrench, but both together (or heat plus DOT 3 fluid from a leak nearby) mean fire so pick one and say with it.
