It is not broken, it is just disabled. There is a lever in the trunk that disables it, flip it back to normal and you will be fine. Happened to me too.

Well my in car trunk release broke the other day.It feels as if the cable has broken.
Anyone else have this problem yet? I'm calling the dealer tomorrow.

It is not broken, it is just disabled. There is a lever in the trunk that disables it, flip it back to normal and you will be fine. Happened to me too.

I don't understand...I never flipped any lever in the trunk itself. I've been using the in car release on a daily basis. Please tell me where this lever is.

Its on the locking mechanism on the trunk lid. Just pop your trunk and you will see it.
