    15000 mile service

the dealer just sent me the reminder to do my 15000 mile service.

i already changed the oil and rotated the tires, and all fluids have been check and topped.

they are also recommending i change my fuel filter and pcv valve.

does the wrx even have one? (pcv) i havent looked so i have no idea, if so whats the p/n and also did anyone change their fuel filter at 15k?
    oops

yeah from what i put together its like most subaru services, they just look at everything.
when i brought my car in to have them look at the AC they did the 3000 mile service (without my approval) which included "verify AC function" needless to say they didnt even look at the AC and I had to bring it back.

    For the 15k service

    rotate tires (as needed)
    change oil
    top off fluids
change pcv valve (requires removing IC not a big deal, while youre at it install a catch can)
and then just visually inspect everything belts hoses air filter...

so since i just bought new tires, just changed the oil (changing today with m1 5w30), filled fluids (except one that is so damn hard to reach...) and drool over the engine almost everyday...the only thing i'd have them do is change the pcv valve?? how much was i going to pay these jokers?? haha..thanks

Costs $9 for an OEM one.

I forgot to mention, if you have a pre 05 you should do the fuel filter too.

my dealer's mechanic told me that as long as I keep up on the oil changes, make sure your fluid levels are OK and your brakes aren't worn, don't even worry about the minor services....they're just overpriced oil-changes. the major ones every 30k is another matter.
