    Is it bad for the engine to change between two brands of oil (both still being the same weight and synthetic) often?

    I don't think that it would be very bad at all. Just make sure both oils are SAE approved for your vehicle and you should be set.

    I liken it to switching between Chevron and Shell every other fill-up. Your car shouldn't even notice.
