    Smoking turbo

Had white smoke comming off turbo and strong oil smell. Took to dealer and they spent five hours working on it and found no leaks. They suggested that my K&N filter may have been dripping into the intake and somehow making it to the outside and getting on the turbo. BTW they replaced the white oil filter with a ...100 I thought those were replaced.

lol K&N Dripping and that's somehow making it outside the turbo. . .

I hope a porter worked on your car, not an acutal tech.

Dealer? A drippy K & N? Uh no. A dealer to be avoided if that is what they said.

What do you mean by: "BTW they replaced the white oil filter with a ...100 I thought those were replaced".

Just ignore the turbo, don't beat on the car until its warm, and don't run a mbc.

My turbo smokes when its cooler outside and I don't let it warm up before I boost. I've learned this at autocross where it was the worst. Freaked me out the first couple times but no biggie.
