    Oil Filter

Okay, I know after I post this some of yall will think that I am mildly retarded. I changed my oil today, Filled my car with new fresh oil, and brought it back down to the ground off the jack stands only to remember that I forgot to change the oil filter.

If I go to change the oil filter now will oil squirt out when I remove it, Or is it safe to remove with oil in the car? Also do I need a "wrench" for the filter or can I just hand tighten it?

You will loose some oil when removing the filter there is no avoiding that. Just try and make the switch as quick as possible. You will probably loose from 1/2 to one whole quart of oil.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as long as your engine is not running, there shouldn't be any oil leak out when you remove the oil filter except what's in the filter itself.
