    gauge cluster

    if you brake your gauge cluster lol , do you have to have the new one programed for the car or can you just plug it in and go?

    The dealer will replace the gauge cluster. You just plug it in and go. The dealer will put the miles on the door so you know how many miles are on your car.

    Depends on how you "broke" it. The gauges within the cluster can be replaced without replacing the cluster and the odometer. If they do that you won't need to have it reprogrammed. Either way, don't go the route of the door sticker that states your "true" mileage. This puts a cloud of uncertainty over your car and devalues it to many buyers. You can have a cluster reprogrammed for about $80 by Tacoma Speedometer. They have a website. Good luck.
