    Coolant Drain?

OK, I have changed my oil, rear diff and transmission fluid but I'll be damned if I can find the "drain" for the coolant. I have the maintenance CD and the pic is lousy and I have searched all over for that thing. Can anyone offer some help here? <flamesuit on> if this is a dumb Q but I really havent been able to locate it....I even drained the freakin' brake lines without a problem.

I have an '04 wagon if that makes a difference. BTW, I was glad to find out that my '04 did not come with the dreaded T70 torx Bolt for the tranmission like later '04's did...21mm here!

OK, I found the drain (I can't believe I didnt see it last night) but does it run out of the larger bottom hole or the smaller hole pointing to the back of the car when you open the valve? There is a large pc of steel directly below the large drain which doesnt make any sense since this seems like it would make a total mess and I really dont want to turn the drain and find out the hard way where it runs.

pretty sure it comes out the bottom and drains onto the frame then follows that little valley in the frame.

Thanks for the reply. I finally just decided to turn it and go for it....damn what a mess....it was running out of the side where the plug is and then once I got it out further it started coming out of the small hole that points to the back of the car. Everything is flushed and refilled now...whew!
