This is a discussion on CEL code .... P0442?? within the General Maintenance, Troubleshooting & Accidents. forums, part of the Tech & Modifying & General Repairs category; Any resolutions to this? I am pulling the same error.... Every 80 - 200 miles it will come on......

    the blue T-piece is just on the left and under the alternator. Remove your alternator cover and use flash light to help you find it. My p0442 code came on and my blue t-piece is loose a bit so I tighten it. Didn't fix he problem though. Just want to share.

    Ok I found the problem. TOday I let my engine running and open the hood and I heard the leaking sound. Then I search around and discover the hose that connect to the EGR valve( the black round thing next to the alternator) and turbo inlet. It came off so it make the air-leaking sound. Hope it help.
