CA: Ortega Hwy. and Big Bear Drive Nov 4

OK, all you So. Cal. WRX owners, I think its time we made a run! Saturday November 4th was a date I was thinking, how does that sound?

My thoughts, start in the morning at the Irvine Spectrum around 9:30 or 10:00am. Head over the Ortega Highway, FUN WINDY ROAD, up to the 15, FAST STRAIGHT ROAD, then up to Big Bear on the 30 and 330, another FUN WINDY ROAD. There is a small chance we might even see some snow (very small chance this early) but if we do then everyone would be prepared with some nice four wheel drive.

Then grab some eats in Big Bear and head back down the mountain after lunch for some more WINDY ROADS, there are many options to get home so everyone could split once we hit the bottom there is also another route down the mountain which is also even more WINDY than the 30 and 330. Then all the O.C. folks could meet up in Huntington or Newport or somewhere close for a night on the town.

Let me know, I'll be the organizer if you are up for it. So mark your calendars and post a response if you are up for it.

WRX's preferred, but anyone else is welcome (You will get heckled and passed on the road if you don't drive a WRX though!!!) Well, maybe if you have that new Legacy with 250 bhp we won't complain!

    Nice map!

Good plan and sounds like a great drive, but this is something for your regional forum, where people in your area will see it.

    Thanks,
    Steve
