I have to agree. N.J. is no fun. I tried to take some twisties yesterday and ended up behind grandma everytime I tried a different road. I finally gave up, did 25 behind grampa all the way home, parked it back in the garage, put the cover on it, and drove my Saturn home.Originally posted by sht

There's plenty of good roads in Jersey, and a lot more in our neighboring states, NY and PA. I'll post some up once the board gets fixed

Down in the Pine Barrons by Atlantic City... there's a lot of winding roads and some of them are dirt.
whipperwill rd. ( i think thats how you spell it) red bank or navesink, new jersey i believe..scary as hell at night and twisty mosty hard packed dirt. mostly surrounded by farms and woods. if u ever go on that road at night you will want to lock your doors and do NOT get out lol , huge hills, tight path, there have been a number of accidents there resulting in death from kids not knowing the limits of their cars and being stupid. so if you are ever on that road please be careful, we dont need to lose another rex or contributor to this forum.
Its whippoorwill rd in chappaqua...I live on it. Its a good road. 128 but there are sometimes cops. campfire if you like the uber twisties and bear mountain are always scary but good.
yea bear mountain is a lot of fun but can get scary
there are plently of great roads in NJ, just prob not near you.
Sussex County is one where almost every road you take is worth taking. Especially the further from civilization you get. I can name a ton of roads up here that are worth taking.
You just have to come up here and drive yourself lost. Thats the easiest and best way to find the good ones.

Allamuchy Twp.- Shades of Death Rd.
Nothing but farms and residential housing. Lots of sharp blind turns (until they harvest the corn). No local police, either. But be careful, it's named that for a reason, and I have seen a guy on a sport bike hit a tree head on.
There are tons of county roads up in Sussex Co. but you can get stuck behind people.
yo the best turn that i have near me is on route 17 north.

In Chester/Long Valley in morris county. Black River Rd. Winds along the black river with many turns and twists. Just be alert due to the fact that it is a State Park area and there could possibly be pedestrians. Another good one is Schooleys Mtn Road towards hackettstown leaving the Long Valley area. It is a fluctuating uphill twisty/downhill twisty assortment of turns. I would suggest driving this straight at least once before you amp up your speed as to get used to the road and the points where the speed traps are. If i can think of anymore I will post them up.
old thread, but anyways...
Mclees road off Navesink r. road.
for some reason 40 mph feels like 90 on this road at night.![]()
could use better paving, but still fun as hell.
