    AZ: Yarnell Hill

Those of you who've been in AZ for a while probably know of Yarnell Hill. It is a great portion of the 89 highway out of Wickenberg full of switchbacks and a nice climb of over a thousand feet. Fairly new pavement makes for a smooth ride.

If you're ambitious enough I recommmend going at the wee hours of the morning, especially Sundays because there is very little, to no traffic. Its also great for the scenery at this time of day. On the way back down Yarnell Hill there's a nice vista point you can pull off onto and overlook the desert below.

Cruising from the east valley is nice on the Carefree highway and it meets up with the highway to Wickenberg.

Any more of this and I should write an article! Sheesh... sorry for the length.
