Well - I have actually been back for about 2 weeks, but I have not posted anything about it.
I had a great time - spent 5 weeks on the road travelling the following route:
St Louis - Denver - Grand Teton NP - Yellowstone NP - Spokane - Seattle - Portland - Salt Lake City - Las Vegas - Death Valley NP - Lancaster - Mojave - Flagstaff - Grand Canyon NP - Monument Valley - Cortez - Highway 666 - Gallup - Albuquerque - Roswell - Carlsbad Caverns NP - Guadalupe Mountains NP - Junction - Eden - Oklahoma City - Joplin - St Louis!!
8972 miles - 14 States
It brings my total to 41 ( in 18 months!) with 9 to go including Hawaii and Alaska.
The national parks in this country are cool - although I was surprised just how much the road goes through EVERYTHING! Roswell was a waste of time. It was cool travelling Hwy 666 the day before it changed number.
It was a blast.
I recommend seeing your country!! I sure have enjoyed it!
