So this morning I decided to take a Sunday drive up to Palomar MT Observatory (just outside of Escondido)...the road up Palomar Mountain (S6) is unreal!! Being a weekend, there was a ton of traffic, so the going was a little slow (not to mention all the crotch rockets who've been turned on to this route) but the road is amazing! The view going up and down is breathtaking, and the view from the observatory is nothing short of spiritual. So is the drive up and back down. Real tight and twisty, almost impossible in spots to gauge just how fast (or slow) to take the turn. Exciting and well worth the trip. Two thumbs up---er...right foots down on this one!! ENJOY!
