about 3 hours of just awesome roads. And since it goes to Whistler from the other side (not from Vancouver), it is relatively void of tourists.
The road is twisty, very steep in places, replete with scenic overlooks, 15% grades, switchbacks, and stunning views of eastern/western BC type lands including the snowy peaks and forests of western BC and the sandy canyons of eastern BC.
You COULD get to this road easily from the Seattle area in about 4 hours or just from Vancouver in 1 hour or so, but I did it as part of a route from Niagra to Vancouver and back... a roundtrip that took 10,000 miles and one entire month. Of the whole trip, THIS is what sticks out.
