OR: Oregon Caves Highway (46)

From 199 to the Oregon Caves National Monument. The highway follows the Cave Creek through a very twisted and winding canyon, and ends at the Oregon Caves. Very fun drive!

Our national MGA organization has a get together every year, and the GT-28 next July is out your way. I can just imagine driving some of those roads in the Roadster! Long drive from here to there in a 45 year old car, though!

It's the highway that takes you to the Oregon Caves, so luckily there are signs the whole way. You would go south on I-5 to Grants Pass (from Portland this is about 3.5 hours, depending on how heavy your foot is) and head west on 199 (Redwood Highway) to Cave Junction. Turn South (left) on 46 at the 2nd to last signal in town and head south until the curves begin.

Just to put it in perspective for you all, driving this road was the first time I've ever almost puked in a car, and I was DRIVING! Definitely a roller coaster.

For some more fun, after the cave drive head back to 199 and head out to Crescent City, CA. The drive through the redwoods is killer, and just slightly less twisty than the Oregon Caves highway.
