Believe it or not, there are some aweseme drives in the area. Fresno is 2.5 hours from the Bay Area and 3.5 from the greater LA Area. From there you have Yosemite Nation Park, Sequoia National Forest, and Sierra National Forest. All of these are within one hour from Fresno via some great windy roads through the foothills and then into the mountains.

Not to mention the grandeur of these locales once you arrive. Anyway, I just thought I would let all you Left Coasters know about this hidden secret in driving fun. I was ripping up the mountains in an M Roadster a few months ago, and I can't explain how fun this drive is. Just make sure to watch for Le Flique, as they happen to watch the four-lane heading up to Shaver Lake from the Valley.
