I am new to forum and just purchased an '08 WRX, right after a brand new suspension, tires, complete tune up and fresh clear coat. I have an extra thousand dollars after my purchase and want to invest it performance wise... The car came with an SPT catback and thats it... (I know I know....don't rag me on why it was missing,I either forgot to put it on the other day or it vibrated off). Now the thing is the car felt like it had more power and no more 4k rpm "stumble". I have an all stock motor except a drop in filter, downpipe, and a blouch 440xt....and no tune. Was it just me or did my car run A LOT better vented to the atmosphere.
So the BIG QUESTION is, should I go to an AOS or catch can??? Or am I crazy and it really doesn't make a difference? it was impossible to work with inter cooler on
DP has 2 more nuts one on chassis other on transmission
2 12mm to CB

at first i forgot to put that ring looking fat thing from oem DP to cobb DP

cobb DP looks kinda half inch short
chassis mount did not align with DP so i had to push it with the help of a rod
oem heat shield will not fit over DP
i am gonna cut mine to fit over it

2 I have a massive oil leak from some where but cant determine where it coming from. What would be the most common area it would come from.

Obviously for fueling sti pinks or 800cc will do and walbro 255 pump so I guess don't really have a question about that however I do have a question about the fuel lines I will not need to get new lines for the wrx or will I? Do the fuel lines match up just fine with a sti swap?

Anyway, I have been looking into stright pipe exhaust as well as a full tuned exhaust system specifically Megan racing. I have a 2013 wrx premium and I'm considering my options.
Option 1- Megan racing up pipe catless with flex section
Megan racing down pipe catless
Megan racing catback exhaust
*keep in mind Megan makes a 3" system with no step downs

Option 2- Same Megan racing up pipe and down pipe then straight pipe to exhaust tips on the ends or to a muffler of some sort.

If someone can give me advice on something they had tried, or good idea vs bad ideas. I know goin Megan tuned system is a tried and true system although far more expensive but a few subie guys a know love the straight pipe route. Sounds awesome, i did notice however that the Cobb box gets super hot. I usually go with cold air intakes any thoughts on this? Basically it doesn't matter or what? I hope that the heat is primarily on the outside of the box lol but I think that might be wishful thinking.
