Does it use the tow hook threads? If so that is awesome. I'd be cool if there was an option for a lockable license plate frame that had a quick detach feature, and a quick towhook attach with a time attack style hook.

Yeah it uses the tow hook threads. We havent thought about a quick release but it is pretty easy to take on and off without taking out the main bolt.

luckily i moved to florida where no front plate is required. it will still look clean. sorta looks like the front plates on the evo's

I can't stand how the license plate looks hanging down in front of the grille. So long ago when I was in california I put a license plate delete on there. Now that I'm back in colorado, I've got the plate delete still on there (it's bolted with some funky locking screws) And I have gotten 2 $75 dollar license plate tickets in colorado. So for the cost of one more ticket, I could just put this on, I don't have to have the license plate sitting in front of the grille, and I get to keep my license plate delete.

Im in cali and been rockin no plate since new even though its illegal. I have found an interesting trick that seems to be working. I have left my temporary registration in the windshield since 2006. (I dunno how it works elsewhere, but in cali when you buy a new car you drive off with paper plates and they tape a paper registration copy in the windshield) It has worked since new. I was even pulled over and ticketed in 2007 and he looked at the rear plate, looked at the front, pointed at the sticker and assumed I just bought it. But if/when I do get a front license plate "fix it" ticket with this car, ill be buying one of these kits.
