This is directly from the mouth of my Brother who is a P.D. Sergeant for a major city in Oregon.

According to Oregon State Law an AWD Vehicle such as a Subaru can be occasionally used as an off hwy vehicle.. Because of this windows from the B-Pillar back can be tinted as Dark as you would like. Driver/Passenger windows must remain at or above 35%.

Maine changed the law to 35% recently. I had mine done this past week.

TEXAS

25% within the top 5" of the windshield
25% on side windows to the left/right of driver
25% on rear window
Unrestricted for any side window behind the driver.

I know Wisconsin from experience, i have one window tinted ticket from my last car lol

Front 50%

Rear 35%

On my current Subaru i'm running 5% tint all around haha! even on the top 1/4th of my windsheild a 5% tinted strip

Talked with a few cops today....70% for ALL windows is the rule. HOWEVER, both guys I talked to have said they never wrote a ticket for rear windows, and it is impossible for the rear or quarter windows to get a ticket since there reader can't get in to check. sooooo, i did 25% in the back doors and 15 on the back windshield lol

Wrong. I was pulled over in Kennesaw, GA because the Cop "couldnt see in my car" as he drove by when i was trying to turn left. at this time my old Cavalier had 5% all around..lol

I was under the impression that CT allowed 35% on all windows, and the rear window could be any darkness. Right before I got my wrx I was pulled over in my Hyundai for tints. I told the cop hat I had them done at 35% which i thought was legal for CT. The cop had no idea what percentage, but proceeded to tell me I actually needed a sticker on the window. Basically it says that the DMV inspected it and is approved for legal use. I have never heard of anything like that, and he even admitted that no one else knows about it but I run the risk of getting pulled over again. Now I am reluctant to get tints on this car.
