Clay Bar and Wax (pics 56K go away)

I did a clay bar and wax today. I have never used a clay bar before, but I can tell I will definitely use one again. Don't mind the missing side skirts I painted them today I will put a pic of them too...

I always heard that claybaring is semi dangerous, and thus havent done it yet. I heard that if your not careful with it you can easily remove to much clear coat. What brand did you use? Also do you apply it by hand or by a buffer?

    Car looks really nice BTW.

Looks great. I gotta claybar my car one of these days too. The no sideskirt look is pretty interesting. It almost seems like the cars naked or something. I like it, its different.

I used the Meguires (spelling) It comes in a kit with everything that you need. I then finished off with the Meguires Nxt paste wax. I can't remember who asked but you just rub the clay bar with your hand. I can't believe the stuff that comes off. I am also interested to see how my side skirts come out. They have to dry for three days and then I have to hit them with some rubbing compund. Car looks goofy without them there are four holes that you can't see in the pictures where the skirts mount... Sorry it such a long post....

Nice work. I need to claybar my wagon...I don't think the previous owner took care of the paint to my standards.

Is there a particular brand of claybar that most people prefer?

I used Clay Magic ( pic here: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/inf-clay.html ) for the first time last weekend. The paint now feels like its brand new! It is sooooo smooth!! I couldn't be more satisfied, it only cost me ten bucks at autozone too!!
