    2016 WRX Tail Lights MOD

    NooB Here!

Would like to paint the chrome in my tail lights black...

Anyone ever taken them apart and or have any advice on how to do so?

I see there are videos for the head lights, and cannot find anything on the tail lights.

    Thanks!

The ones I have seen and not for the 15/16 people have cut open the tail lights. Personally I would just get some overlays. I know its not the same. You could try baking them at a lower temp though I don't think they are the same as the headlights.

I did take them off of the car to take a closer look, and it seems that the only way to get them apart is to cut them. Did see that in the older models but don't have the fortitude to try it myself

Just go the overlay route. Seriously easy to do and only cost a few bucks if you get the overlays off eBay etc.

    Looks awesome

The chrome on the sides of the light, which is pretty useless, is where my main focus is. Having an all black car with gun metal gray accents, I'd like to get rid of as much of the chrome as I can.
