Here is my latest attempt to keep the nasty little beasties from pooping on my car. Not sure it will work though. Anyone have any other solutions?

Gather a bunch of stray cats. They will keep the birds away. Then you'll just have claw scratches on your tough Subie paint. Yeah, what zax said. No other parking options? That looks like an invitation.

I have to agree with Rich and slightly with Jay. Between my cat, and shooting a couple of the pests, they have decided my house isn't for them.

In all seriousness though...the owl MAY help. You will have to move it occasionally though. Change its location every week. You can also get a second type of fake animal. (dog, cat, another bird of prey). Rotating their locations will throw them off. If you leave them in the same place for too long they will learn and just poop on those too.

Too many cars and not enough garage (mother and 2 teen drivers with jobs and college = too many cars.) I had thought of the pellet/bb gun but the buggers hide up inside the sliding door rail area and are not accessible to shoot, but stick their butts out once in a while to poop on my car. It would be like hunting from a blind or tree stand for me to get them as they landed in an area where I had a shot. I'd be there way too long and even then if I got some, more would simply take their place. I'd like to close all the areas where they can perch but with the sliding door rails needing to stay open, I'd only be solving part of the problem.

I will probably just live with them, but thought I'd try the owl. And he looks sorta neat. I like the idea of moving him once in a while.

Sure, no problem. They have plastic ones that may be cheaper as well. You can get different sizes. I used them on my front porch to prevent a persistent bird from building a nest over my front door. They worked well.
