    Front end swap

Can anyone tell me what are the oem fenders from a 06-07 are made out of, Aluminum? I'm trying to change my front end to a hawk eye. I don't know if it's a good idea to purchase the fenders on rock auto, cause they are made out of steel or cause they won't fit properly? Or should i just wait for someone to part out they're car? I have a 2002 wrx.

If you want the look, sell the bugeye and buy a Hawkeye. You'll get the look plus better brakes, motor, and suspension.

this. plus, a front end conversion can get pretty pricey. you need fenders, bumper, grill, hood, headlights, etc. the tri-grill alone is well over $150.

Look on ebay. I bought a 2002 JDM STi conversion for my bugeye to fix various points of damage. There was some minor shipping damage in the form of scratches, but it sounds like you plan on painting anyways so that isn't a concern. What is a concern is the fact that your rad support will need to be swapped out which requires cutting and welding if I am not mistaken.

From what I have seen, looking for JDM spec conversions is the best route as they are easier to find and not all that expensive. Mine (with the rarer STi grille and HID headlights) was around $1800.00 CAD at my doorstep and it came with the fenders, hood, scoop, grille, headlights, bumper, rad support, rad, crash beam, and foglight covers.

So you pretty much searched 06 jdm front end? Or is there a certain thing I have to write so it can direct me to what I'm looking for?
