    Does anyone in Florida know if it's illegal to tint your tail lights? And if so, the penalty for it?

    No it's not legal. Some cops care and some cops don't. If they do care, they will probably give you a fix it ticket it or one with a small fine ($50) or so.

    I would highly recommend not tinting your lights thought. It's very dangerous and looks awful. (The only exception is red tint on 08+ hatches)

    Edit: http://www.stateofflorida.com/Portal...aspx?tabid=214 (bullet point 3 & 5 under "lights". They tails need to be red and must be visible from 1k feet. Brakes lights also need to be red and visible from 300 feet)
