Rims for my 04 wrx wagon

    Hey guys!
I'm thinking of buying some rims for my 04 wrx wagon since it's on stock impreza 16s at the moment. My question is: The stock 16s have an offset of 53, and the rims that I'm looking at have an offset of 40, how would this affect my car, and would they fit fine? Everything else is compatible.

    Thank you!
    Ed

State their width and diameter plus the tyre size.

    Hub Bore:
    73.1
    Rim Width:
    8
    Rim Structure:
    One Piece
    Rim Diameter:
    18
    Quantity:
    4
    Offset:
    40
    Bolt Patterns:
    5x100, 5x114.3
    Number of Bolts:
    5
    Rim Material: Alloy

No tires yet. Just looking at the rims for now. They are T7s

I was just wondering if there is a big difference going from 53 offset to 40 offset?

Yes there would be a big difference. They would stick out further from your car and thus be more "flush" with your fender. I would not recommend getting an 18 inch wheel on your car. I would go with a 17x8 in wheel, and try and get 40-45 offset. Also, your bolt pattern is 5x100.

the bolt pattern, width, and offset are okay but the ebay listing doesnt tell us what the hub bore is. no way of knowing if they fit without knowing that

I just checked and they have a hub bore of 73.00.

So does 17x7.5 , 5x100, 45 offset, and 73.00 hub bore fit my wagon?

Wrx hub bore is 56.1. If you want to run those you would need hubcentric rings

It's getting annoying at the fact that everything says : This part is not compatible with 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon 4-Door 2.0L 1994CC H4 GAS DOHC Turbocharged.

    Offset:
    40 mm
    Rim Diameter:
    17
    Hub Bore:
    73.10
    Rim Brand:
    KONIG
    Lug Hardware:
Lug Nuts are not included with the wheels.
    Bolt Pattern:
    5-100
    Weight:
    20.30
    Number of Bolts:
    5
    Rim Width:
    7

not even this with 73.1 Hub rings are compatible... Is this normal? To always get the not compatible message when you try to check if it works in your car..?

Thinking about ordering these 4 New 17x7 40 Offset 5x100 Konig Illusion Black Wheels Rims | eBay you think they would fit with hub rings?

Ed if I may, what is your actual goal in all this?

I ask because I do not believe the Drag or König wheels to which you have linked approach the quality of the wheels you already own. The 16s you own are made by Enkei, are light for their size, are very reliable, and meet OEM quality (since they're an OEM wheel).

OK that's fair. At that money there are bigger wheels but I don't think there are better wheels than stock. Keep the specs posted above in mind when shopping and contact vendors directly to ask for a WAGON fitment specifically (your car lacks fender flares).
