2010 WRX Bumper Modification for FMIC

So I've installed my FMIC and it fits nicely. I've already cut away some of the bumper to fit over the core so that part is complete. Now I'd like to add material to the area around the core to funnel air into the core. I'm looking for opinions on what type of material to use that I can pick up at a local hardware store/home improvement place. Remember I need to fasten it to the bumper and then opinions are welcome on how to attach it near the core/on the core. I know this isn't absolutely necessary, but it can't hurt and it would provide more a finished look rather then openings around the core. Someone has had to do this is the past? I'll provide some pics later, I'm working at the moment. Thanks in advance.

Picture will definitely help so we know how much you cut out. Though at the same time I kind of see what you want to do but since its a FMIC its getting a lot of air already. You may want to just get some kydex and seal up the opening on the side but would need pics so people know what you are working with.

Im guessing your setup would look something like this

and you want to cover up the circled areas

That Kydex looks like some pretty handy stuff. Have you worked with it before? What fasteners do you use to attach it?

One word -Kydex- make your own but no real need. If you get it thin enough easy to form with a lighter. Then maybe some industrial plastic on plastic Velcro (like the ones used on ezpasses if you have seen them) in the bumper
