    WRX hatch taillight tint removal?

Hey guys I recently purchased a 2012 Wrx Hatch and it happened to come with taillights that are tinted. I was wondering if any of you guys know how to remove this tint as easily as possible. I posted a picture below to show you what the taillights look like as of now. Thanks for the help!

I originally thought it was film but I opened the trunk and beneath the light was a bit of overspray onto the plastic. Thanks though. Anyone have any advice on how to remove the spray?

with spray your best bet is to purchase new taillights.. because all the scrapping and removal products will result in scratches and cloudiness..

I would bring them to a body shop to have the color sanded off then get them cleared and polished if you want the original look. Mine are painted as well and after my body guy sprayed them he told me that's the only option to go back to stock. Hope this helps!

Not quite sure since I am good friends with my body guy and he hooks me with good deals. It should definitely be cheaper than a new set of tails that's for sure.

No problem man! I think for just one taillight its over $500 to get it replaced. But anyway, If you were closer to VT I'd send you to see him! lol

That's true. Is there a specific part of the forum dedicated to selling items?

thats funny. i just about to ask the same question because the previous owner of my new(not wrx lol) car sprayed the lights and i want it off. i wonder if some elbow grease and one of those 3m headlight polishing kits might be able to take it off. they work wonders on cra&&y headlights, it should. i might give it a try this weekend. if not, no harm done and the taillights will still be dark, just shiny.

when my friends come up, i hear, "you sold the camarrrroooh.....HOLY BLEEP A WRX!"
Ya has that effect on me too.

Can you post in this thread after you've tried to remove it? Thanks I wanna see if that works so I don't have to go through the trouble of bringing it to a shop or trading them.
