    HIDS....

I have a 2013 WRX base and I was wondering if I should get HID. I heard that the projectors were pretty good, and if I'm going to buy HIDS. I'll get the momo ones. Would the projectors be okay? How about inspection?

You would want to get a retrofit. You would probably be ok on inspection as long as the lights are installed correctly. A lot of cars come stock with HIDs.

Also, if you do a search you will find a ton of info from prior posts for this same topic.

You know any place selling the whole kit? I saw a post earlier today that said they were selling the whole bi-xenon hid kit for the wide body wrx for 300

I think you can get them here The Retrofit Source online: headlight upgrades for all applications

I am not positive on price, but $300 for a plug and play kit seems cheap. I have HIDs stock though because I have an STi.

$300 is pretty much the bottom price for any quality HID retrofit kit. That's projectors, ballasts, wiring, bulbs, projectors, and shrouds. That price range will be pretty week in output comparably speaking. I've seen morimoto mini's for that price.

Please stop posting non engine related questions in the "Engine" performance section. This is the second thread related to lighting I have moved from there of yours. Use the "exterior and appearance" section for those questions.

If you want nice cheap bulbs that have a drastic improvement to stock bulbs (H11), I would go to your local car shop (for ex: Advance Auto Shop) and pick up a pair of H11s (Sylvania). If you do decide to go that route, make sure they are not Silverstar and make sure they have no tints on them whatsoever.

These are the ones I got:
Sylvania Halogen Headlight H9: Buy the right Headlight Bulb - High Beam at Advance Auto Parts

You will have to make a simple modification to them. You can google the installation of H9s on your car. It is simply shaving of an extra piece so the bulb fits. You cant beat $30.
