2006-2007 Spoiler WRX/STI or trunk swap

Hey guys! Super new to all of this.

Change of plans... I'm actually getting a 2006-2007 WRX. The question I have is: How do I put an STI spoiler on it? I hear about 'trunk swaps' but I don't know how these work.

What would be the easiest way for someone in the Edmonton (780) area to get this done? I know of a guy who rebuilds Subarus and I bet someone's wrapped an older STI around a tree... Should I message him and grab the entire trunk?

    -Thanks!

You can use any trunk from 04-07 sti's. you need the whole trunk & the trunk springs. You'll also need to swap the key hole

You can. If you dont want to swap trunks, it would be easiest to start with a wingless trunk. If your trunk has a wrx wing, youll have to remove it, fill the holes, repaint the trunk, then put the sti wing on. Doing this can be pricey, which is why most people just prefer to do a trade

+1 on the trunk trade/swap. Unbolt yours and bolt on the new one, unbolt your lock mech and bolt it up to the new trunk, easy job.
