    Need wheel advice.

I purchased inexpensive aluminum rims for my winter setup, bit they are too bright against my black car. What do you suggest? Should I just sand, prime, and rattle can them, or would plasti dip be the way to go?

Plasti-dip them first, if you really like the look then u can do a more permanent paint job/powder coat. That's the beauty of plasti-dip!

just plastidipped my winter setup last week (better to do it now, when it is warm outside, plastidip goes on much better in the higher temps).

Plastidip is probably gonna be fine for now. That way if it gets messed up, you can peel it off and do it again.

How do the lug nuts work when you plasti dip? Obviously the dip will come off when you tighten the rims. Do you just paint them after try are tight in the car? I am painting the rims off he car.

Yeah you can spray the lugs with plastidip after everything is installed. Just be sure to protect the brakes from overspray.

That or get some anodized lugs.

Last thing you want is a lug sheering, warping, pitting, etc. or worse, causing you to sheer off a stud. Aluminum is soft and can corrode much easier than a Chromoly steel type alloy. You're not a racecar that is constantly removing/replacing lugs. You see poor weather. Get something you know will stand up to the beating

Ok man. I really appreciate the advice. I though a lug was a lug. I guess that makes sense. In that case, can you help me find a set tht would match both a black plasti dipped rim and the factory 2012 STI rims? I figured if I was going to buy really nice lugs I should use them both seasons. . I am color blind so I would appreciate your color advice!
