    Whispbar Paint Job?

I just installed my new Yakima Whispbars with FatCat ski rack, and wanted to paint the silver aluminum face of the Whispbar black. Does anyone have any experience with this? I was thinking plasti dip, but wasn't sure how well it would adhere to the aluminum surface. Thanks!

Why not try it im sure you can always use it for something else. Plasti Dip was made and still is as a dip to add a grip to hand tools. So im sure aluminum is fine people dip wheels and entire cars.

I did my OEM roof bars with plasti-dip.. turned out just fine with a few coats of glossifier on top. Make sure to let it cure for a week or so before washing and/or strapping anything onto them.

Thanks for the responses! I'll be plasti dipping them this week (whenever this damn rain lets up). I'll post the finished pics up on this thread.

You should paint them to match your wheels!
