What to do about a rust spot?!

Today I was planning on fixing a small rock chip on my hood with some Dr. Colorchip. As I was getting ready to prep the area, I discovered another chip that had gone unnoticed. This one, however, has begun to rust.

My car is only a year old. Is there anything I can do to fix this rust spot, or do I have to have it repainted?

    Thanks...

I think the subaru warranty just covers rust perforation, but I could be wrong.

It's worth asking I'd think. Nothing to lose.

I'll ask next time I take it in for an oil change.

Worst case though, if its not covered, am I looking at a repaint? Or is there an easy way to fix a small rust spot that doesnt involve a bunch of sanding and me trying to teach myself how to paint in my garage?!
