Opinion: Non-HID Yellow fog lights - Tasteful, legal and not a nuisance to other drivers or cheap, ricey looking and distracting to other drivers?

Why would it be a nuisance? It's either tinted lenses over the factory halogen bulbs, or legal 35w replacement bulbs like PIAA crystal Ions (which I have). While the arguement that the yellow helps you see better in fog has debatable scientific truth, it shouldn't have any impact on other drivers, assuming you're using OEM equipment.

I like my crystal Ion bulbs in the Hella 500 foglights on my bugeye. They look very yellow when turned on, but I didn't have to tint the clear lenses in any way.

just for clarification are we talking about yellow tint for foglights, or actual yellow bulbs?

either way, i'm mostly a fan on bugeyes/blobeyes that have huge foglights. on other models it just looks strange IMO

St. Louis Metro East, on the Illinois side, but not the really bad Illinois side, but also not the really good side.
It's only about 15 dollars to see if you like it or not. If you don't, just peel the lenses off.

I put yellow fog overlays on my SWP 13 Sedan, and I like them. As a police officer, I can say there is nothing illegal about them. At least not in Illinois, and we're practically a Nazi state.

i like the look of the yellows, I just put them on my 09. I would LOVE huge bugeye fogs, but the 08-10 bumper its not possible. 11+ has the bumper insert, so something would be able to be manufactured

    Its all personal preference

I love the way they look, especially on red cars. I just tinted mine yellow with a tint filmClick image for larger version.
